The Best Time to visit Lake Eyasi is during the dry season, from June to October, when the weather is sunny, and wildlife congregates around the remaining water sources. For those interested in seeing the lush vegetation and birdlife, the wet season (November to May) offers rich biodiversity, though some areas may become more difficult to access due to mud roads and rains. It’s also during this time that migratory birds arrive at the lake.

How to Get to the Park
Lake Eyasi is located approximately 120 kilometres (3 to 4 hours drive) from Arusha, making it a relatively easy destination to reach by road. From Kilimanjaro International Airport (JRO), it takes about 4 hours to reach the lake.
The best way to get to Lake Eyasi is by 4x4 vehicle, as the roads can be rough and challenging, especially during the rainy season. The lake is often visited by travellers heading to or from Serengeti, Ngorongoro Crater, or Tarangire National Park, as it’s part of the Northern Circuit of Tanzania's safari circuit.
