Day 1: Arrival and Relaxation
Upon arriving in Zanzibar, you will be transferred to your hotel, where you can unwind after your journey. Enjoy the serenity of your surroundings with views of the Indian Ocean, and prepare for an exciting week ahead.
Day 2: Stone Town Tour and Prison Island
Start your day with a historical walking tour of Stone Town, exploring its rich cultural heritage. In the afternoon, take a boat trip to Prison Island, where you’ll learn about its history as a former slave-holding site and meet giant Aldabra tortoises. End the day with a sunset dhow cruise along the coast.
Day 3: Spice Tour and Cooking Class
Today, embark on a fascinating spice tour, visiting local plantations where Zanzibar’s famous spices are grown. In the afternoon, participate in a traditional Swahili cooking class, where you’ll use fresh spices to create delicious local dishes. After enjoying your creations, return to the hotel for a relaxing evening.
Day 4: Jozani Forest and Butterfly Centre
In the morning, visit Jozani Forest to see the endangered Zanzibar red colobus monkey and other wildlife species. Afterward, stop at the nearby Zanzibar Butterfly Centre, where you’ll learn about butterfly conservation and see beautiful butterflies in a lush tropical environment.
Day 5: Free Day at the Beach
Today is yours to relax and enjoy the beach. You can choose to lounge in the sun, take a swim in the warm waters, or indulge in optional activities such as kite surfing or beach yoga.
Day 6: Sunset Dhow Cruise and Beach Dinner
Spend your day at leisure, and as the sun begins to set, embark on a sunset dhow cruise. Sail along the coastline, enjoying spectacular views of the horizon. Afterward, indulge in a romantic dinner on the beach, with fresh seafood and local delicacies under the stars.
Day 7: Departure
After breakfast, take some time to soak in the last of Zanzibar’s beauty before being transferred to the airport for your flight home.
