How to Get to the Park
Lake Manyara National Park is located about 126 km (2 hours) from Arusha by road, making it an easy drive on the well-travelled northern circuit. If you’re flying in, Kilimanjaro International Airport (JRO) is the closest international hub, about 3 hours away. Domestic flights also operate to Lake Manyara Airstrip, located just outside the park. Most travellers reach the park via 4x4 safari vehicles, either as part of a longer northern safari or a dedicated day trip. Its proximity to Ngorongoro Crater and Tarangire National Park makes it a perfect addition to multi-park itineraries.
