Day 1: Arusha – Serengeti National Park (Central Serengeti)

After breakfast in Arusha, depart for Serengeti National Park by a scheduled flight or a scenic drive. Arrive in Central Serengeti, a wildlife-rich region home to a variety of animals year-round. After checking in at your camp or lodge, enjoy an afternoon game drive. Central Serengeti’s plains are perfect for spotting big cats, elephants, and other wildlife. In the evening, return to your accommodation for dinner and overnight.

Day 2: Serengeti National Park (Central – Southern Serengeti)

Wake up early for a sunrise game drive in Central Serengeti, where you can witness predators like lions and leopards on the hunt. After breakfast, continue exploring the Serengeti en route to the southern region, which will be your base for the Ndutu calving season. The vast plains of the Southern Serengeti and Ndutu are a prime location for the Great Migration, where wildebeest gather in massive herds for calving. Expect exciting encounters with predators drawn by the abundance of newborns. In the late afternoon, arrive at your camp for dinner and rest.

Day 3: Ndutu Region – Great Migration and Calving

Spend a full day exploring the Ndutu region, located in the Ngorongoro Conservation Area, during the peak of the calving season. From December to March, over 8,000 calves are born daily, making it a spectacular event to witness. The area is also teeming with predators such as lions, cheetahs, and hyenas, all taking advantage of the vulnerable young wildebeest. Enjoy a picnic lunch in the bush and continue your game drive in the afternoon. Return to your camp in the evening to relax and enjoy the African sunset.

Day 4: Ndutu Region – Game Drives

After breakfast, embark on another exciting day of game drives in the Ndutu area. The endless plains provide excellent opportunities for wildlife photography, with large herds of wildebeest, zebras, and gazelles filling the horizon. This is also a great day to see the interaction between predators and prey, as the Ndutu region is a prime spot for lion prides and cheetah families. Stop for a picnic lunch, then continue exploring in the afternoon. After a full day of adventure, return to your lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 5: Ndutu – Arusha (Departure)

Enjoy a final morning game drive in the Ndutu region, soaking in the last moments of the Serengeti’s wildlife spectacle. Afterward, you will either drive back to Arusha or take a scheduled flight, depending on your preference. Once you arrive in Arusha, you’ll have time to freshen up before your onward journey.
